Yesterday, we successfully completed our first surplus food delivery to Hazel Primary School and started our Fuel for School venture!
Six crates were delivered on Friday 23rd November, jammed packed full of fresh fruit and vegetables, tinned and baked goods. All ready for their school’s surplus food market stall.
Fuel for School is the educational arm of The Real Junk Food Project, which not only support schools with their surplus food but also educates the children about food and food waste.
You can find out all about this brilliant scheme on their website http://fuelforschool.info/
If you know a school that would benefit from working with Fuel for School and The Real Junk Food Project, please email us or send us a message via our Facebook page.
